She gazed longingly out the large front window of her office. Oh how she longed to be out, not stuck at work, enjoying the sun. It was finally a sunny day that wasn’t too hot nor cloudy. She felt like this often when she was at work. But the truth is, once she gets off work, she feels so exhausted that by the time she gets home, she has no energy to do anything. She enjoys going on walks, but the lack of energy and early sunsets contest to her desires. She wants to go for walks in the evening but the fear of walking at night stops her cold. Even if her partner is with her, she’s been conditioned to fear being out at night – a side effect of her past traumas and indulgence in true crime. She tries to be careful in everything she does to limit her risk of being a victim again.
