Daily Affirmation

Self-compassion is a rather difficult habit to practice. She attended one of the Sonder Socials yesterday in which she practiced being kind to herself. She wrote a short letter to herself in which she reminded herself: “Forgive yourself for what you’ve done in the past. The past can’t be changed, but you can grow from it.” She hoped to remember this constantly. Even if she makes a mistake, it’s already happened and she can’t undo it. She can only try to fix it after the fact and learn from it. She was also always timid when it came to admitting when she made a mistake so she hoped this would give her more courage to speak up when mistakes happen, especially with her work.

Today (and every day), I choose to practice compassion with myself.
