This book was recommended by a journaling workshop hosted by Silk and Sonder and it is fantastic. It really is an eye-opening book about the idea about choices, possibilities, and regrets.
The book follows Nora Seed as she balances between life and death, ending up at what is known to her as “The Midnight Library”. The Midnight Library becomes a sanctuary where she can try out different lives, different choices, and different possibilities by choosing different books, which are essentially different versions of her life. It’s essentially what we all want: the ability to try out different lives and see how they pan out. The ability to see how choosing one partner over another affected you. The ability to see how one career panned out over your current career. The ability to see a life with kids vs. without kids. It’s a great book and I would highly recommend the book for anyone, whether or not you are deciding between two paths in life.
