I sort of wish I was more firm with my wants. I know that giving only a week notice would put my boss out tremendously, but I also want to be able to enjoy my vacation freely without worrying about anything. He noted that he could also fire me at any point now that I put a formal resignation in with a tentative date, and I wish he fired me on the spot. But I know I’m a valuable asset to the firm because I literally do everything and there are things I know that he doesn’t when it comes to the administrative tasks, so he won’t fire me. He says that he can get anyone to replace me, but he would have to be the one to train them if he fires me or I leave early, and no way does he want to do that. I start training tomorrow… Sigh.
