I’m normally excited to start a new job, but this is the first time I’ve actually felt nervous. Partly because I want this to work out so well, and partly because I know it’s going to be a bigger firm with more people, more work, and an entirely different kind of work. Learning about workers’ compensation has been intimidating, and now I’m nervous about learning a whole new type of law. I’m hoping it’s really not as bad as I’m thinking it is. I’m hoping everyone is friendly and nonjudgmental. I’m definitely nervous about being the new kid. Everyone at the firm has been there for years. Usually when I’m nervous, I get stomach pains. So I really hope my stomach doesn’t make a fuss tomorrow. Wish me luck. . .
