Falling, or experiencing a major sadness, can take seconds. Whereas healing from that fall can take weeks, months, years.
A break up can take a few minutes, but healing from the break up takes exponentially longer.
Growth takes time. Falling takes seconds. Our goal should not be to prevent falls, but to learn how to get up from the falls faster and climb that hill again.
If you hit rock bottom, you can only go up from there.
Through each fall, we learn something new each time. We learn a new method of getting up and brushing ourselves off. We learn how to get up faster. Eventually we stop falling farther down. Eventually we catch ourselves. Eventually we stop falling and reach the top. Eventually we only end up tripping every few miles.
