It is literally part of the human psyche to almost want more and/or better. It is that part of us that inherently keeps us alive and wanting to do more for the world and ourselves. It is part of becoming a better person to not be complacent.
When you become fulfilled in one area, you’re going to feel unfulfilled in other areas. That’s part of life, survival. It’s what we all live for. It’s what keeps us alive.
I am happy with who I am and what I have, but that doesn’t mean I don’t want more. If I had nothing more that I wanted, what’s the point of me living everyday? If I had everything I wanted, needed, ever dreamed of, what’s the point of continuing to live every day the same way? Without a goal? Without something I would want to change in my life?
Would you rather date a person with no ambition, goals, is complacent or would you rather date someone that always wants more, is ambitious, determined, but that can also appreciate what they have?
