Support Local Equestrian Centers

A portion of the day today was spent feeding some very beautiful horses carrots at the Peter F. Schabarum Regional Park Equestrian Center. The equestrian center, through Got Horse Trails, offers horse-feeding parties, riding lessons, hand-led pony experiences, grooming lessons, horse training, and are able to host birthday parties.

The horses there today were Bailey, Gunner, Splash, Kid, and Chili Bean (actually a mule).

If you are in the area, I highly encourage you to visit the equestrian center at this park and meet the horses through Got Horse Trails. The owner and/or organizer of Got Horse Trails informed my party that they need more bookings or else they will need to shut down their organization and move the horses elsewhere.

The horse-feeding party was only $10/person and lasted a whole hour. Each horse was very friendly and beautiful. It’s amazing to simply be in their presence and observe them, much less have the opportunity to pet and feed them.

Support local centers for animals! They are doing the best they can for the animals they have, but that requires resources and money. If Got Horse Trails does not pick up business, they will be unable to overhead expenses to house and love these horses such as rent and be forced to shut down and relocate the horses elsewhere, limiting access to the local community.
