Wabi Sabi

Wabi sabi says that we humans are all born imperfect and we will never be complete because life is temporary, but while it lasts we have the chance to progress from one moment to the next, just as the humble flower emerges from out of the moss to regale the world with its color, even if it is only for one day.

While the concept of wabi sabi acknowledges the inherent impermanence and imperfection of life, it also emphasizes the beauty and value in this impermanence. The metaphor of the flower emerging from the moss to share its beauty, even if only for a short time, speaks to the potential for growth, change, and beauty in the midst of impermanence and imperfection.

This perspective can be seen as a reminder to embrace the present moment and to appreciate the beauty and value in each stage of life, even if it is temporary or imperfect. It can also encourage us to find beauty and meaning in the ordinary and imperfect aspects of life, rather than seeking perfection or completeness.
