My older sister reminded me that I haven’t crocheted in a while. I still haven’t finished the Charmander that I told my best friend would be done by his birthday… last year. 😅
I am starting to pick it up again, but I need to remind myself to TAKE BREAKS. I have recurring tendonitis from a previous job and I need to make sure I take breaks when crocheting to ensure it doesn’t flare up again, especially because I have a job involving a lot of typing, which can be tough on my wrists.
I’m definitely going to take a reader’s advice and set a timer for myself every 20 minutes. The challenge is forcing myself to actually take a break once the alarm goes off. With crocheting, it’s really easy to lose track of where I am, especially since I’m a beginner, and I know I’ve told myself, “I’ll take a break after this row/round,” and that break never happens.
What are your tips for improving self-discipline?
