Hope

I just know that I don’t want to be without you.

Although awkward in saying, these words gave me more comfort than anything else that has ever been said to me. It meant more than “I love you,” or “I want to be with you,” even though it meant the same thing as “I want to be with you.” This phrase was just so much more reassuring. It meant that he wanted this relationship to last. It meant that he would try his best to never lose me. It was a sign of effort, hope, and faith. The words hug me like a security blanket and keep me warm with love. I’ve finally been provided with the security I had been seeking. There is love. There is hope.
